Version: 3.0
1. Introduction
hiyrd Inc. ("hiyrd," "we," "us," or "our") operates the hiyrd professional networking platform (the "Services"), which includes our mobile application, website, the hiyrd Wallet, campaigns and rewards, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Services.
By using hiyrd, you agree to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. If you apply for paid campaigns, the hiyrd Campaign Terms of Service also apply. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1.2 Age Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old to use hiyrd. You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the hiyrd Wallet, receive rewards or apply for campaigns. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 17. If we discover an account belongs to someone under 17, we will immediately delete it.
1.3 Data Minimization Principle
We follow the principle of data minimization: we only collect information that is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Where identity verification or tax information is required to pay you, that information is collected and processed by our payment partner Stripe wherever possible, so that hiyrd itself holds the minimum necessary.

hiyrd does not itself collect, generate, or store biometric identifiers or biometric templates, and hiyrd does not perform facial recognition analysis on platform content. If you use the hiyrd Wallet, identity verification is performed by Stripe and may involve Stripe processing images of your government ID and, where applicable, a selfie for document-matching purposes. That processing is carried out by Stripe as described in Stripe's Privacy Policy, and any biometric information involved is processed and retained by Stripe, not by hiyrd. hiyrd receives only the outcome of verification (for example, verified / not verified) and limited status information.
2.2 hiyrd Wallet, Payment and Tax Information
If you use the hiyrd Wallet, we and our payment partner Stripe collect additional information needed to verify your identity, pay you, prevent fraud and comply with financial and tax laws:

- Identity verification information: legal name, date of birth, address, and government-issued ID details, collected under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement
- Bank account or debit card details used for payouts
- Information Stripe uses for its own fraud prevention, sanctions screening and legal compliance
Stripe acts as an independent controller (or equivalent role) for the information it collects to provide its services, under Stripe's own Privacy Policy. hiyrd does not receive or store your full bank account numbers or government ID images.
Collected and Held by hiyrd
- Wallet status, earnings history, reward credits, campaign payment records and payout events
- Tax information where required by law, including Form W-9 details such as your taxpayer identification number, which we use solely for IRS information reporting (e.g. Form 1099)
- Referral activity: your invite link, who joined through it, and the verification status of referred users (to pay referral rewards and prevent fraud)

Notice of Financial Incentive
Our verification reward ($5 for completing profile verification) and referral program ($5 each for referrer and referred user upon the referred user's verification) may be considered financial incentives under the CCPA, because receiving them involves providing personal information (a genuine verified profile and, for payment, identity and payout information processed by Stripe). The value of the incentive is reasonably related to the value of the data: a verified, genuine profile is what makes the hiyrd network function. Participation is entirely optional, requires you to be 18+ and a US resident, and you may withdraw at any time by not participating or by deleting your account. Rewards already credited to your Wallet remain yours. Full program terms are in Section 10 of our Terms of Service.
5.6 European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If GDPR applies, you also have:
- Right to object to processing
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Note: the hiyrd Wallet, rewards and campaigns are available only to US residents, so payment and tax processing described in this Policy does not generally involve EU/EEA or UK personal data.
5.7 State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah have similar rights under state laws.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as:
- Your account is active
- Necessary to provide Services
- Required for legitimate business purposes
- Required by law
After account deletion:
- Profile removed within 30 days

- Financial and tax records (Wallet transactions, payout records, Forms W-9 and 1099 data) are retained for at least seven (7) years as required by tax and financial recordkeeping laws
